As a general reminder to anyone doing business online: scammers are increasingly eager to trick people these days. Always verify that a transaction confirmation is real before proceeding to ship, and be very wary of clicking on any links in e-mails that seem out of place. Many scammers will send out fake fraud alerts as a way to lure victims to deceptive websites.
This in triplicate! When I went in to work on Friday morning, my coworker and I could not get into our work email boxes, Wholesale, Sales, and personal named inboxes, since we had been pummeled at our off site managed email server with hundreds of "Mail undeliverable" messages where email bounced back to our addresses. They were targeting Italian and Spanish email addresses but most if not all bounced due to malware packages found at the internet provider's firewalls.
The strange thing is, that they spoofed our email addresses so our customers were not spammed, and the IP addresses that the mail came from were not owned and had nothing to do with us, but the return address came back to us, causing our email provider to shut down the return emails and our access. Sneaky creeps!
If you aren't expecting an email with a link from someone, and you receive an email with a link, DO NOT CLICK IT!
