It isn't.

Isolation is hit or miss in my area. My neighbor a couple houses down has had at least 5 other people from the neighborhood for the past couple evenings. He's still working, so they are all taking a big risk.

We get our groceries online, and brought out to the car when we get to the store. We have a disinfecting station in the garage, to wipe everything down before we bring anything inside the house.
After everything is inside, I go back and wipe down door handles with a bleach solution.

when did the infections start in the US vs other places in the world ?
Looking at Nextstrain it looks like infection started spreading in the USA from around 15 January 2020 with multiple pathways by the 23rd of Jan. Certainly, by mid February, the disease was already running rampant.
The whole world should have been in lock-down by end of February.

But, it is what it is. Now we'll have to ride it out. Isolation seems to be working here.

It appears that human-animal transmission of CoViD-19 is possible.

Thin Lizzy is always impressive. I have immense respect for a queen that learned to tear down an engine and put it back together.

I have been watching the numbers out of the USA for some time, and they are extremely worrying.

Case numbers aren't very helpful, as they are very dependent on testing rates. The death toll, however, has been rising at the same exponential rate for at least four weeks - going up an order of magnitude roughly every 10-11 days. If that continues, we're talking nearly 1,000,000 deaths in three weeks.

The societal effects of such a calamity might be worse than the disease itself. I sincerely hope the lockdown, albeit late, is now being taken seriously.
I my state stay out I said people take every serious.Street mostly empty you can pick food for some with Oder to go.
Number test up but few day back lo

A Surprise it is, no. A big problem, it is. As it means that it is possible for an animal reservoir to keep the virus in active circulation and the longer that persists the higher the chance the virus could mutate into something even worse. Potentially rendering any future vaccine development as an exercise in futility.
