What's up with Prodigital2000 these days?

i've called them trice already lol and those were 3 days in a row hehe ..... i need it for saturday, that's one i'm going so ape shit over this shipment

Apparently they get replenished with shipments from Pentax on a weekly basis, so they basically sold me a lens that they didn't even have on hand.

I made my first ever lens order from them earlier in the year. I documented my trials well enough at the time. What I did was ordered one lens, called them up to ask about combined shipping and then ordered a second lens after being told one story.

Then I got hit for a whole lot more shipping than expected (I recall $30). They justified this by saying I paid for the shipping on the second item first, which makes no sense. I never got my money refunded, which I think is a poor show. Instead they said they'd apply it to my next order. But I have never bothered ordering from then again, instead spending thousands with sellers mostly on this forum. One person's loss...

They never answer emails. And they have pretty dumb excuses about it.

They package pretty skimpy. My lens boxes were thrown in a padded envelope with no other protection.

OTOH they declared low value for tax purposes.

I must say I am tempted by the low K20D prices. But I hate to patronise someone who has already scammed me.

they shipped my lens, got the email at 6pm and 930pm it's already in my area, why can't they just send someone over right now and give it to me? i don't mind that its late

I take it you're not a fan of Prodigital2000. If they accept my offer (including shipping & exchange rate) I'll be saving over AU$200. Cheapest price here is $700.

Don't get me wrong, the product is good, just their CS and attitude that sucks. As can be seen from the above.

I put a low offer on a DA35 and they accepted. Thanks for sharing the info about accepting offers, Alan (Maxwell 1295). Including their high shipping prices, I'm still making a large saving over buying in Australia. Lens paid for a few hours ago, shipping was $7 more at checkout than quoted on the ebay listing. Although it's an international call I'll phone them to discuss this mistake(?). Shipping is stated as taking up to 14 days for international orders...let the countdown begin. I'll report on the packaging when I get the lens.
