At a car show, I saw this plate on a hot rod with a huge, supercharged V8 engine.

"GLBWRMR".

It was a couple of years ago, so I may not have the correct letters.

When I still had my '82 Subaru Brat, the plate was, IM ABRAT, then I switched to UCA BRAT

It tool me a minute to get that one....I thought it was a large animal vet who liked to Worm animals at first!

Had a "SUOMI 1" on my two Broncos and my Exploder. Bunch of people thought I was a lawyer..

I haven't heard the term Exploder used for many a year....the nick name of the first generation Ford Explorer.

It was an awesome ride till about 60K miles, then the clutches in the TQ would let go. Ford had a back order log of 3 months. Took mine a part and had the local transmission guys cut the tq open and put new clutches in it.
Cost me about 250 bucks or so. Ford wanted 350+ for a factory one.

Good that you have mechanical ability, Saves money. Did you ever have any problem with the clutches in the Torque Convertor again ?

No, was all good after that. IRRC FORD had a materials-supplier problem at the time.

In our state of Oregon in the U.S., the state issued plates are a combination of three letters followed by a combination of three numbers. A friend of mine had a 1968 VW convertible for 20 years with state issued plates that said...
