The "Amero"

Is this the new North American currency? Interesting. I found this on You Tube and am not sure what to think really. Pretty scary for those heavily invested in currency trade speculation.

He does tend to always look for the most tenuous connection in things...

Regardless, if the US were likely to screw anyone regarding its currency, that would be the countries holding its foreign debt, not Americans themselves.

And Ben... you might have missed this - if you want to see the quality of his 'journalism' for yourself... why don't you go open a bank account in French Francs as he advised

I think a bigger worry is that OPEC switch from the dollar to euros for oil pricing. They are the only dollars really being spent at the moment.

These coins were (are) privately minted and are not valid currency.

Check out Snopes: snopes.com: Amero Coin

Ben... These "Ameros" are made by a commemorative coin company called "Designs Computed" See Coin Designs by Daniel Carr. 2007 UNA Amero Pattern Coins. for a discription of the coins...

A quote from the DC site "These private-issue fantasy pattern coins will be struck as an annual series, starting in the latter part of 2007"

Also see http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/amero.asp.

Hal Turner is a well know neo-nazi and general anti-government nutjob over here on this side of the pond. Very little of what he says can be taken even with a grain of salt.

Didn't know that about this Turner guy. I removed the link.

Thanks for the heads up, really!
