Hard cases

For Aussie Pentaxians,

Vanbar have a 50% discount on Underwater Kinitics hard cases. They are similar to Pelican products. Great to keep your precious Pentax gear safe when venturing out.

I have purchased two!

I've been using air tight cases for years, and although I love how they do seal out the elements, I've learned the hard way that they can also seal in the elements too. If the gear has any moisture or condensation potential, the case will seal it in. Mainly an issue with lenses and mold. For long term storage, make sure you have plenty of desiccants and check them now again if they need drying out.

I have three hardcases, one for lenses and two for lighting gear, and had never considered the potential moisture issue. Locking moisture IN never entered my mind and I doubt I'm the only one.

Very timely warning with summer humidity setting in, so desiccant packs now ordered. Thanks!
