My favourite word - "Lense" and possibly other typos

I have no idea why, but every time some poor misguided soul writes "lense" instead of "lens" I want to stab myself in the eye.
Maybe it's because the plural is "lenses"? Heck, I don't know. It gets my goat every. single. time.

Don't mind me. Just a little rant.

Does anyone else have a word that causes them to froth at the mouth?

Well, Mark,

I understand your frustration in English, in Italy the lens not objective (obiettivo) means the photographic lens,
the generic lens comes to us from the English language. But "lense" is out of the ordinary, I think.

More grammatical, but a few things that really get to me are "off of" and "could/would/should of":

Ex: The book could of fallen off of the table.

Wrong! The book could have fallen off the table!

But they're will always be people who make mistakes

Not very different from learning English. When I was in England visiting my aunt and my uncle, I was learning... but the return was lethal...

Now you've started something. Of course, locals here don't say "something", they say "sumfink". And, try as I might, my daughter won't say "Fred and I", it's always "me and Fred".

Grammar is like the sword: a double-edged sword.
