But people who are truly anti social don't bother with with the internet at all

I frequent some forums with a high proportion of anti-social posters : by that I mean ones who do not join in with mainstream society, not ones out to sabotage it. The sort of guys who get more enjoyment out of watching Plan 9 from Outer Space than from The Sound of Music. They say some much stronger things about FB and Twitter than could be posted here. The onlooker seees most of the game.

It does annoy me when Local and National Government, to say nothing of the Police, attempt to 'communicate' with us by using 'Social Media'.

... and companies who rely on it for things like product recall, and employers who reject job applicants who have no FB presence.

And I've never seen ; E.T.; Star Wars (or any of the clones); Ghostbusters; Men in Black, nor any other of the so-called Blockbusters. I prefer films where there is a Plot, not just special effects.

I feel the same way regarding all the popular "social media" sites, PF and Flickr are my time wasters. I stay off of them and don't pay attention to them and I have a great life without them.

On the one hand, I feel sorry for people for whom “Social Media”, especially Twitter, is an important part of their lives, as to me it indicates they really don’t have much of a life, but then I reflect on how much time I spend on Pentax Forums and think that perhaps I should open a Twitter account.

Being a dedicated curmudgeon, I'm waiting for someone to invent antisocial media. I'd suggest assbook and Instagroin for website names.
