I'll admit that it's not a good platform to use for cloud storage. Why? Well, you can't upload RAW image files. For my cloud storage I continue to use Dropbox.
I would say even Dropbox is not a very good solution - still someone else holding your files
Quote: What I particularly value Flickr for is getting massive amounts of feedback on my experimental bokeh photos. I'm continuously experimenting with bokeh techniques and lenses. I find that the excellent critical feedback I get on my sometimes wild and crazy images is worth their price of admission.
That makes quite a lot of sense. Unlike you, I didn't invite feedback, nor participated very much in offering it to others. I always used Flickrs as a platform from which to share images to other websites through the use of direct linking or BBCode. With such a successful feedback loop you would indeed not benefit from a move.
For me, that is slightly different. I tend to get my feedback here, on FB and Instagram and on other websites where I post images and/or comments. Also, I intend to use my webspace to host a professional blog in my field of expertise and maybe more bits 'nd pieces. For the exact same amount of my Flickr subscription I can now manage my own requirements. On top of that I would prefer a more simplistic and graphic way of presenting my images.
Love that Bokeh image pool and your images by the way. I experiment quite a bit with a Revuenon 55mm/f1.2 and a Sigma 85mm/f1.4 and try to get better. Love your shots! You've seen this lad a number of times on this very Pentax Forum:
