Anyone wanting a real white knuckle ride should drive anywhere, at any time, on a California freeway.
You've obviously never dueled it out with minibus taxis on Cape Town's streets.

Goodness, this is uncomfortably similar to traffic in India, only difference is that there it's a swarm of motorcycles and tuktuks... I was very close to a heart attack several times

Looks like Chicago on an average day, though at least there it is ok for busses to run the shoulders on some roads. Those stretches of roads are marked for bus use during rush hour, so not a total free for all.

This is the stuff of nightmares. Looks like Europe, I don't think we are bonkers enough in the UK for this (but you never know!). No I think I am wrong, only the UK has Belisha beacons (stripy pole with an orange lamp on top) for a pedestrian crossing. Maybe it is an art installation.

Anyone ever driven in Iceland? Lots of roundabouts, and on two-lane roundabouts the inner lane has right of way. So if you're in the outer lane you need to give way so the person inside of you can exit. Very odd, not sure I've ever been anywhere else that does it that way. I got honked at at least once for forgetting this when I was there a few years ago.

We have those too. Except that there's very few that's still a light, most are just an orange reflective disk.

I once came across this little gem... The infamous "Magic Roundabout" at Hemel Hempstead, on a visit to see Kodak whose building overlooked all this shenanigans.

Yup, that's the one to which I referred "some posts earlier" - "great fun" when you worked it out, but "not so much" for "newbies"
