Hoping to soon. Virginia is getting 70,000 vaccine doses to start with and few have made it as for as Lynchburg. How many coronavirus vaccine doses each US state will get to start

That had already occurred prior to being vaccinated.

No COVID-19 vaccine available Down Under, yet, but then we’re hardly on the critically endangered list here, unlike other parts of the world. I don’t expect that I’ll have a need for one until our international borders open in a big way, and I decide to take my (delayed) next overseas visit.

Us too...., I'm not expecting the Covid vaccine until March at the earliest. I'm not in a area with Covid cases, the closest cases being an hours drive away, I live in the bush, I'm in contact with maybe 5 people a week,I suspect won't be in the first group, or the second , or the third....... probably Moderna will be my option which the pharmacist at the drug store will have at some point.

the current situation in the US is confusing

one vaccine approved, another should be by this weekend

but distribution may be a problem depending on what source you believe

and each state sets the manner of who gets what when

I'll be 64 by the end of January with the issues that should put me up higher than others

but who knows

stay safe and vigilant folks please

Good luck and best wishes! The vaccine seems to be very effective and simple enough to have easily predictable and safe effects... hopefully that turns out to be true for everyone. I expect to hold off a while, as it goes to more important and higher-risk individuals.

It will be some time for those of us who are not front-line health care workers, other essential workers, or long-term care residents/staff. In my county, there are an estimated 22,900 people in line ahead of me, despite my being high risk of poor outcome if infected.

My wife will probably get hers long before I do. She's a physician, but not in the highest-priority group 1A since they aren't in daily contact with the Covid patients. I'm 60 and in decent health, so it will be at least a few months for me. Once my time comes, though, my answer is "Hell Yes!".
