Bald Eagles Born

Our local Bald Eagle (Harriet) and her other half M15 hatched twin eaglets!

What a great picture of a parent and off spring. As a side note, I hope the young ones, don't spring off the nest too quickly.

We here have followed this pair of adults for a long time, incredible parenting skills overall.

Side story...... You might notice the female is named , her partner is a number. (M15) as Harriet is older that’s why she was named, her First Partner was appropriately named.... “Ozzie” who passed away and was replaced by M15 (male15)

We were put onto Harriet and M15 almost a year ago by someone on another forum and have followed them since. E15 and E16 had already been born by then and were a few weeks old. It's great to have finally seen the whole circle from mating to laying to hatching and beyond. They are wonderful parents and so entertaining.

The attacks by the Great Horned Owl have been concerning though.

What's funny about bald eagles is they don't sound like the movie bald eagle sound.
