So my daughter is at my sisters horse farm and she volunteers at a neighbor farm around the corner. About 2 mins by car. So does this friend of hers ( older but they have horse interests together), as well as her mother is my daughters school tutor. She also lives a couple minutes away.
So she leaves the farm and a mutt going warp factor six around a curve in the wrong lane hits her head on. She was 19. He was 53. They both died. Neither wearing seatbelts.
Given the physics of such a hit in a 2007 Camry the seatbelt might not have mattered. But it sure would not have hurt.
What a selfish jacka$$.
I’m glad he died too. Misdemeanor death by vehicle is probation in NC. Would be just waiting on the next victim if he had lived.

Clarification. The volunteer farm is 2 mins from my sisters house. 3 hours from me.
Clarification. Since the shut downs it is not unusual for my daughter to be at my sisters horse farm. She switched to online school in March 2020. It was much safer for her to be in the country and also it has been a once in a lifetime chance for her to do horse stuff 7 days a week. Plus, the above mother is an elementary school teacher and has been a great tutor for her all last summer.
