Another Marc Newson design ...

Here is Marc Newson's latest Megayacht design, launched today at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Although the name of the owner is not officially confirmed, rumors are that this is another new build project for Roman Abramovich.

... now I can't decide if I should take this toy or a used K-01

I called to order one just like it for my wife's birthday, but they said they were busy and couldn't get it done in time.

He does have a certain look to his designs, doesn't he? I don't happen to find them attractive, but I suppose as with all things, opinions differ.

The big issue is accessories. It is so difficult to get the matching helicopter - and obviously the wrong one ruins the whole aesthetic.

Well, I much prefer the more classic look of one of Mr. Abramovick other ships, the "Eclipse", build a few years ago at Blohm+Voss in Hamburg.
