I was just shopping around on this and read some of the conditions. One of them is having to be 18 years and a resident of the US.

So... us Canadians ... guess we're out?
well, I have heard that you can try to use a proxy server to get an ip address originating from here (USA) to be able to use live.com cashback... I am not sure if it is correct and whether live.com also checks your mailing address of record w/ PayPal, but you can try... do you see any M$ cashback ads when searching for something on live.com being connected through ISP outside of US ?

I *just* used the live cashback on an ebay purchase, once you've signed up and used their search engine to find the item, you buy it now just like regular ebay and paypal. In response to deejaaa's comment above, you then have to give MS Live your mailing address ...even though they will eventually put the money back into your paypal account. I guess you could fudge the street address, but you'd be so in violation of the TOS document you're now talking out and out fraud. I don't think it's worth that .... sorry to all my Canadian friends.

On the upside ... wow... found a Kirk BH-3 ball head on Ebay auctioned by Kirk Enterprises (the manufacturer). Had a small cosmetic defect, but new with full 5 year warranty. Regularly 255 on their site, but "buy it now" for 235, then 23.50 off with an ebay coupon, then 70 dollars more of via Live Cashback... so I got the head for $151 dollars shipped once I get the MS rebate. Now, THAT'S a deal!

Thanks for the info Miserere.
The cashback worked for me with Prodigital but I had to be sure to use Paypal.
Really!? Oh, that sucks (for me), I bought the 31 Ltd at a higher price from a US store because I couldn't get Prodigital to come up with the cashback icon (this was 4-5 weeks ago). I thought it was because Prodigital was a Canadian store and the rules say the cashback offer only applies to US sellers and buyers.

Are you 100% sure you got cashback?

Sucks for me too since I bought a 50-135 from Prodigital at the end of October.

Oh well, will have to find something else to buy now!

Just tried microsoft cashback and it seems to be over...

Anyone still using it? Or was the fa50 1.4 my last successful 30% off purchase? Hope not because I had a few Christmas items all planned. But I can't get any ebay ms cashback icons. Live.com is now offering 3, 4, 5% off on items at _their_ selected stores! Not what I had in mind!

Any info would be helpful; thanks.

that's why you don't search for gitzo. You search for something general and hope it comes up with an ebay link...
