This is an old illusion, but never ceases to amaze me. Which is the darker square....A or B ?

If I were pedantic, I'd measure the area taken by the darker shaded letters A and B. I'm not, so I'm just guessing that the B takes up more space than the A, so the square including the letter B will be darker by a bit, both the background colour and area of the squares and the colour of the letters being the same of course.
