Just ran across this devastating news today. I am so sorry to hear this. Hopefully the transplant search will be fruitful and quick. Even though I am not a believer I will offer a misheberach for you at the next opportunity. (Jewish prayer for healing recited in community)

Science and medicine move quickly nowadays. Even if your daughter pulls the loosing ticket, she will have many more options available than there are now.

I've missed this thread until now. I really hope that a transplant comes along soon and goes well.

I suspect that if I were in your place my biggest concern would be whether or not my two daughters had inherited the trait, so here's to hoping that isn't the case for your family.
