I just returned from a bicycle ride - 77F today. But tomorrow we will have to endure a cold front which will bring a high of only 48F.

Jer, I feel for you...

I checked deep south Texas and Harlingen is currently sitting at a crisp 45F. It's cold for this region of NW Arkansas (see attached - it's the closest local weather station setup), and the wind hasn't picked up yet. That's nowhere near cold enough like the walks I did in -50C weather... that was cold!

This is cold...

-25C = -13F wind chill -34C = -29F Early for this time of year.

Hey, Marc - it's 39F here this morning - pretty chilly for SE Texas. You know, it's intriguing how accustomed one gets to warm weather. Most of my life was spent in the north, and a morning low of 39 on December 22 would have been warmly (no pun intended) welcomed. Now that I've been down here for 13 years, I find the cold less bearable. Oh well, it's supposed to hit a high of 70 tomorrow and reach 79 by Saturday. Heck, we might even get out on the bay if we can find the time amid the holiday rush.
