This still brings a smile to my face every time I rde it

This is my custom Llewellyn that I had made for me in 2006. I'm still rocking 9 speed Ultegra which serves me just fine. To my mind it doesn't get any better than lugged steel and silver components. I still get a kick out of riding this every time I hit the road.

Ooh, nice! Reminds me of my (now sold) Avanti Pro Kona. That had 9 speed 105.

Great post! Very interesting bikes. Thanks for posting!

I went and googled how that works: https://ritcheylogic.com/blog/ritchey-tech-talk-break-away-assembly
Very clever!

I don't know why there is so little use of the Ritchey system.
Its light, secure and visually unobtrusive.

You would perhaps appreciate this steel artwork. I had it made for me in Italy. I have not ridden for many years now. Sun (Skin cancer), traffic and hills are discouraging, In the past I was keen enough to build my own wheels.

I have a plain old giant (brand name, not size) road bike. I got a nice trunk bag for it, just the right size for my KP and 2 lenses (or sometimes 3 lenses)
A nice way to combine two hobbies!

Great looking rides! I'm 66 with a bad knee and *very* bad lower back, but still try to get a bike ride in everyday. I found this old-school Cannondale earlier this year - owned by an ex-Marine who kept it in great shape. It appears black in color but is actually a very dark metallic green. (xposted previously in the *other* bike thread)

Where is @scratchpaddy ? He's got some nice restorations to show off

I see a lot of pentaxians are into steel as well!

Jan Janssen Super Prestige bad weather bike:

And the nice weather Tommasini Tecno:

Still to come: the lightweight climber and the MTB (both steel of course) and a good shoot on all the great details on the Tommasini...
