A Sort of Bid-Up Auction Madness? 67 for $2,000+

The Shopgoodwill site, I have often used for certain fun cameras and deals. However, I see a Pentax 67 with 55mm F/4 lens now at...nearly $2,000? Ebay has a few specimen of the same camera for $700-$1000 and the lens, or better lenses, for $300-$400. Is this an example of auction madness, or is there something I'm missing here?

It is a Pentax 67II not a Pentax 67. The lens is a 67 generation of the 55/4 which is optically the better lens of the 3 versions of it.

I suppose I consider comedically high auction bids to be in the "ridiculous" category. Where would you have put it? If somewhere else, feel free to move it.

There's General Photography - PentaxForums.com

It is fascinating, though, to see that the starting price was 9.99, and the listing states:

Not tested
Comes in carry bag
smc Pentax 67 1:4 55mm
Sold as is

When I look on ebay at Pentax 67II prices, I see lots of examples well over $2000 and many don't have a lens let alone the most excellent 67 55mm lens.

Hmm, that would probably work!

So, this may well be a decent price (currently) for this camera.

I couldn't imagine feeling comfortable spending over $2000 on a camera that isn't guaranteed to work, can't be returned and I can't even see decent photos of it.

At least some of the eBay sellers have guarantees, warranties, etc. Goodwill...not so much.
