Hi Ben

I'm happy that I was able to help out. Sad to hear that it was too late to save you some time...

Are you using something like SuperDuper to clone your boot drive and reinstall from the clone? If you had to reinstall all your apps then I feel your pain
Thank You Kami and Rob and Alvin for helping me out. If I only knew that the "Zoom" function even existed, that might have been a good start...See..In this area, I am pretty basic. But just learned something new this morning ah 5:30 in the morning, while my girlfriend sleeps unaware of the hellish night I had...

Oh well, live and learn..

Thanks again for your kind help.

Ben

Ben,

Glad to help where we could. Rob and Kami - I've got this bookmarked for my own reference. I'm not a mac user, but this definitely helps when I have my mac friends ask me questions too

Hi Ben,

If you could only get back those hours of sleep...

For management of your disk permissions and other OS X functions, I've been using Onyx with great success. It gives you a great deal of control of your system.

Superduper allows you to make a bootable clone of your hard drive to an external drive. If your boot drive dies then you can use your clone to reinstall back onto your main internal drive and get back up and running quickly.

Well at least all is up and running. The deadline is tomorrow at 18:00...The retouch of the Fashion and Still life as well as the double page spreads have to be ready for tha Art Director who has designed a special font specifically for the story.

I want to thank you again for coming to the rescue. Because I didn't know any better, I was going to go out today to purchase a new graphics card. Thanks for saving me beaucoup $€$€...

Thanks Again
Ben
