its amazing how much before and after shock there is in these mechanical parts

Very cool. Thanks for the links. With the shock they go through, it's easy to see why they have an actuation limit around 100,000 frames.

Which sounds like a big number, until you consider the number of folks who shoot everything in machine-gun mode. (Saw a guy shooting a sunrise that way the other day).
