not yet, but I live in UK and that probably means I will not see one in a loong time... probably more likeley that I'll find one of those lost large cats in the wilderness than another Pentax shooter around there

Yikes! what are you going to do about the "hybrids" like me that are both Pentaxian and a Rebeler????
Can we see a Pentax Neckstrap on your Canon, and then we can comment?
Or maybe the other way around?

Over all the years with FSLR's I only remember seeing other Pentax users in Asia;also wasn't paying too much attention. Since getting a DS two plus years ago (and now a K10D) I only remember seeing one other Pentax DSLR user. It was in a little town in New Mexico called Madrid and we ended staring at each other (before talking) like we had seen someone from outerspace.

I guess he wasn't in "your spot" - got the GPS coordinates for where you shot him?

I've seen a number of "pentaxians" while traveling

In Turkey, I saw a few.

One was at Pamukkale - a hillside with limestone coated mineral water pools (Pamukkale = "Cotton Castle"). He had a very big lens, but was only wearing a small, tight swimsuit (that wasn't very becoming on his "frame"), so I chose not to say anything.

Another was fully dressed at Termessos, (and spoke french) but I was shy and didn't say anything. I don't know what his reason for not saying anything to me was - he could have tried out the 10-17 FE if he had :).

I saw these two Pentax shooters.

On Saturday at different times of the day. They were seen shooting things like staples on a telephone pole.

and mirrors hanging in front of a window.

Then I caught this guy shooting the side of a building.

But when I saw him looking in the wrong end I didn't think he was shooting Pentax.

but then they cought me shooting things like Betty Boop.

When I asked them if they were members of the Pentax forums .com they said the have heard of it and they think they are members. Can anyone tell who they are?
And by the way Alan (roscot) we missed you being with us in Ellicott City. But Sean and I will see you on the 14th in Harrisburg PA.

Last week I spent 3 days in CeBIT and saw exactly two Pentax cams (with blokes attached to rear ends, respectively). One K10D and one DS. Plus there was one coffe-shop chef who instantly reckognised my K100D and told how he's saving money for K10D. All those chaps were japanese, for the record.

Oh and then there were two guys from one obscure electronics equipment booth who went "oooh, Pentax!" when they saw me shooting with my cam. Yup, you guessed, japanese too.

Other than that it was pure C & N party as far as eye could see.

Hey Dave, I missed going up with you guys. Looks like you all had a good time. I got out of work around noon Saturday. Did a quick shoot at the Botanical gardens in the afternoon. Not much blooming yet.

Looking forward to seeing you and Sean on the 14th.
