That is an amazing car and an amazing video.

Too bad it looks like a vacuum cleaner from the front!

Something in the neighborhood of 850,000 Pounds-1.673 million US-Dollars.

Plus tax, title, license and freight to the US--if you can get an import approval.

Some of the other numbers: at speed tires are shot in 15 minutes--about 63 miles.

Gas tank full to empty: at speed, 12 minutes, about 50 miles.

15 breaths per minute at 0.5 liters per breath=>21600 liters of air intake per minute (1 liter is about 61 cubic inches===>1.318 million cu.in./min)

My god. That is more expensive than my house!

Cars depreciate quick in value. I doubt this would be a great investment

Regular cars, yes.

But this is soooo special. First there is no place to drive it. If driven, no company to insure it. You buy it, stick it in a box and send it to a big auction 20-50 years down the way. At the very least you break even.

To make money, find some way to get it into a successful motion picture! In ten years you get 10 times the cost.

WOW!
I bet a few Nascar boys would like that sort of mumbo!

What was particularly interesting was that it seemed to be sitting on the road pretty well at those speeds too...the driver certainly wasn't overly busy at the wheel, it all looked very calm & collected.
Thanks for the link. Much appreciated.

I remember that top gear episode. I remember the one where they used the veyron against a plane, a race from the south of France back to England.

that car is utterly pointless, but an engineering marvel

VW is said to be losing money on every veyron made and sold. each one cost a lot more than what they are selling it for. and they only made a handful too..
