I have actually done/said this.

Thanks Javier, your cheque is in the mail!

But seriously Guys, Peter and I are trying to write a blog about the Art of Photography, and NOT The Art of Buying Camera Stuff. There is a difference

I hope you enjoy the current articles and keep visiting regularly. We have tons more in the pipeline that will be coming out over the coming weeks and months. This is a committed long-term effort on my behalf, and now with Peter's help too.

The Art of Buying Camera Stuff involves deception and subterfuge (at least for the married guys).

Nice one Javier.
Before deception and subterfuge sets in, there's bribery and uncharacteristically romantic behaviour...

Ain't that the truth!

Her, "Is that a new camera?"
Me, "What? This old thing? Nah, I've had it for years."
(Step away from the others and wait for the lightning bolt to strike.)
Her, "But you got a package in the mail last week. What was in that?"
Me, "Oh, that? Just one I had sent out for repairs came back."
Her, "Hmmmm...."
Me, (Whew! That was close!")

Ok, you know you have problems when you see a ''use once and throw away'' camera at the .99cents store and you buy it to see what you can do with it; All the while you have some great film and digital cameras with you...In fact the camera I used to take these pictures was my G10....Pictures from the disposable coming soon.

Hee. I'll look.

Not that all the help with buying camera stuff hasn't been invaluable, and meant meeting all you fine folks.

My three signals of a serious disease were:

1. My neighbours wear scarfs and crash helmets now when they're sunbathing in their backyard.

2. I always wait for my dinner to be mouldy, 'cause that makes more interesting pictures.

3. Caused a traffic jam when I stopped on the highway. There was such a great sunset and I wanted to have it.

I'll add another one, specifically geared towards the women around here:
