Can you see these? photobucket ?

I just got this message in my email... saying that I had exceded a 25 GB monthly allowance on my photobucket account... (no way did I upload 25 gigs of pics in a month) so I am confused? Is there a 25 gig total limit? Or is it really 25 gigs per month...

You have exceeded the 25 GB monthly bandwidth limit on your free
Photobucket account. As such, your image and video links have been
temporarily disabled. Your images and videos have not been deleted but
will be reactivated on the 03rd of the month, when your bandwidth
usage resets to zero.

So everything still looks ok to me on my account... so I am wondering can you all see these photos?

Thanks for the eyes...

Ok so the ones from yesterday and before are gone...

but the one I just uploaded is there? umh

Now I have to go back and see if every other photo post I have ever made is gone too?

Maybe it is time to start paying... but I resize before uploading to PB so I can not believe I have approached 25 GB's of storage... That is a lot of resized pics.

No, there are bandwith exceeded warnings..... Time for a new base for your photos, it seems!

EDIT: what is the size of your photos after resizing?

Doesn't that bandwidth limit refer to traffic (ie: people looking at your pics?)

Thanks Pat,

You are right... I just looked deeper into it... it is about traffic... not the pics.

But now I need to understand traffic and how it adds up? So they reset it each month, but does all my old post history in these forums immediately re-trigger the 25 gig limit?

Moderator you can move this were ever it needs to be, I did not mean for it to be here...

25 Gigabytes is 25 billion bytes. My 800x600 jpegs are about 300 thousand bytes. Striking zeros, 25,000 / 3 = 8000+/- PentaxForums views - not impossible. Check the number of views on some threads where you've posted multiple images and it might add up.

PS - I think the math is correct, but I might be of a zero or three :ugh:

Of course, your uploads also count, and if you files are larger than 300Kb the number of downloads gets smaller.

Flickr is free and only limits your storage not the bandwidth used. You can get unlimited storage (and other things) with the “pro” account for a small yearly fee.
