Yes.

Actually, "they" did, since I wasn't one of the few.

It was on TV and I saw it. So it has to be real.

The hoax theorists are persistent though. 'Mythbusters' did a show around this theme; for those that still watch 'regular' TV.

The problem with the moon hoax conspiracy theorists

...is that they don't understand photography: They don't understand that the sky WILL be black with almost no visible stars if you expose for bright lunar suits, they don't understand that perspective may make parallell shadows appear non-parallell, etc., etc. A suprisingly large share of this nonsense is based on a lack of understanding of photography.

Or a lack of... well.

As Rene points out, that's not all: The cameras had no white meters or view ponders. So the astronauts achieved this feet without being able to see what they were doing. There film stock was unaffected by the intense peaks and powerful cosmic radiation on the Moon, conditions that should have made it useless. They managed to adjust their cameras, change film and swap filters in pressurized suits. It should have been almost impossible with the gloves on their fingers.
From some moon hoax site..

Also, when you're on the moon you're generally shooting sunny 16 so no wonder the stars aren't showing.

What was it the late and much lamented Southern philosopher Lewis Grizzard said about people who (paraphrasing here) "think the moon landings were fake but rasslin' is real"?

I find the whole hoax issue the hardest thing to believe. If it was a hoax then hundreds of people would have to be involved after several moon landings. It couldn't be pulled off here in the USA, the same country where its president can't get a quickie from an intern without it being on the front pages.

That kind of falls under the same umbrella as the 9/11 conspiracies. As incompetent as our leaders have been proven to be over and over again, what are the chances they could pull something like that off?

I recon the 'keeping it secret' would be harder than successfully planing anything on the scales mentioned here.

There is only one way to keep a secret secret.
