I love the British. They seem to be the only European country that has an interest in remaining independant, and they are not afraid to stand up to the rest of Europe.

Yeah we seem to be. We make a lot of enemys. And maybe, just maybe when our enemys have a disaster, or are attacked, or need money maybe we just shouldn't respond anymore. But alas, we won't. Even when our enemys are at our throats and a disaster hits we seem to always be there to help. When the sunami hit, we were there. Earthquakes, we're there.
But when earthquakes hit California who helps us? Who helped us during Katrina? Or any other disaster in the U.S. of A.? Well, who? Why are we always the suckers that help others out when they have us by the throat.

The whole episode seemed rather cavalier to me but I suspect that's the nature of the show. I just wonder whether any of the participants ever took, or even thought of taking, the oath and marched a few miles in a pair of combat boots.[/I]

Fox News is one of the reasons I sewed a Canadian flag to the day-pack I carry when I am outside of the States. Safer that way...

Plus if we didn't have our Canadian brothers, I wouldn't be able to watch "Corner Gas" on TV.
