A very good performance! She has a bright future ahead of her in music.

But, in my personal opinion, her selection of Taps was not the right thing to play in such a setting. Taps is a piece that "should" be done solo, or echoed by a second player, without any accompaniment or fancy-it-up variations. I normally get teary-eyed at a good rendition of Taps, but not this performance. It was beautiful, she's a superb performer, but "it just ain't right" for Taps. :ugh:

While the talent of this young lady is incredible at any age - I agree with Jim in the choice of song. That was a spectacular performance none the less.

for the history of the song she did play. It has nothing to do with "Taps" though it does bear some resemblance...

Amazing tone and control for someone so young - I know professional players who wish they could do a tone that smooth on-demand...
