Polarizer has gone missing

I leave for a trip to Peru early tomorrow morning. I generally travel light and only bring a camera and 2 lenses. For this trip it's the K20D, DA 16-45mm and DA 50-200mm. I also bring one filter with me, a polarizer. Well, last night when I started packing everything, I can't find the polarizer that fits the 16-45mm. I have looked everywhere.

I have been kicking myself for not being able to find the 67mm polarizer for the 16-45mm. I cannot understand why it's not in the drawer with all the other filters I own - or in any of the places I have looked. Looks like when I return from my vacation I'll e buying a new polarizer. This is very distressing.

I've had some similar experiences. Fortunately for me I've always found what was missing. I have 4 camera bags that I use for different purposes at different times and the missing item always shows up in the one I wasnt looking in when I needed it, of course.

A corollary to Murphy's Law states that a lost item will turn up only after a replacement is purchased.

I looked on every lens it would fit - it wasn't there.

Sorry you have the same problem of the missing polarizer just like me. I'm currently in the airport in El Salvador waiting to change planes. Right now it looks like I will be going without a polarizer for the trip.

With my luck, this is exactly what will happen.

Would it be stuck to a lens cap somehow?

Have a great trip anyway Frank. At a push you could try using your sunglasses and holding them in front of the lens.
