Banjo!

I am going to try my luck here..

Not photography related,

I am a huge blue grass fan and a Steve martin fan , needless to say playing the banjo was always a dream of mine.
so finally I decided to give it a try...

I am looking to buy a beginners Banjo second hand or new but my limit for now is $150 -$200

can any one help?

You should be able to find one in a pawn shop then, all those musicians you talk about are usually pretty poor as well.

The last place we look when we are trying to find something is right under our noses.

Its also true that when you find something it's always in the last place you looked...

makes sense since once you find it you stop looking. LOL

Emmulate Grandpa Jones, Stringbean or Earl Scruggs and you will go far.

Another option to buy a banjo maybe to make a calculated road trip.

Another thought - you might Google some music stores in Nashville and see what they suggest.

a banjo joke...

How can you tell if the stage at a bluegrass festival is level...

... the banjo player drools out of both sides of his mouth

Ok now - I did hear that at a bluegrass festival, and I really like bluegrass (of which banjo is a necessary ingredient) so please put down the flamethrower...

BTW, congrats on pursuing the banjo, that's great. Also BTW, Steve Martin blew me away when I saw him play on the Colbert Report - I had no idea he played like that. Very cool. Now to go look for my guitar...
