Forget the K7... Chris over Adam??? WTF

American Idol.... has america lost its mind? The greatest singer to ever grace the stage on AI, and he looses to a middle of the road, one trick pony!

Sure adam was a bit Showy... but as a pure singer it was not even close. The best pure voice in American Idol history.

Any thoughts as to why? I have my suspicions

Regardless how he came in second I think he's better off. The winner gets the "prize" deal only, number 2 can negotiate- hopefully.

I wish they'd do True Blood and Entourage twice a year. Even back with the Sopranos, it seemed like they took too much time between seasons. Oh, to keep this somewhat on topic, yeah, Idol seems to happen too often.

I wish HBO did more episodes of all their shows... they go too quick...

Someone told me My Name is Earl got canceled... It is no 'hbo' but no worse than any of the other pap that is on regular tv...

Hahaha - I was expecting PentaxForums Thunderdome - "two men enter, one man leaves" - drama from the thread title.

But I'll offer my perspective on AI...

First, I'd have been happy with either one as the winner. I was favoring Kris Allen though. And here's why:

Adam is a fantastic performing artist.
Kris is a fantastic musician.

Adam will make an awesome front man for any power rock group, but he needs a group to front. He can build on the energy of others but I have doubts about his ability to create his own music.
Kris will write and perform his own music and lyrics and it will be 100% Kris and will sell out albums and concerts for years to come.

Adam is a love him or hate him performer. You get him or you don't. I do.
Kris is hard not to like. He has a very broad potential fan base compared to Adam.

Adam would have been artistically hamstrung by 19 Entertainment.
Kris has a musical style that will blend easily with what Simon Says.

Both have great careers ahead of them in the music biz if they don't f*** it up.

Pretty great show last night though. I was ready with the remote to FF past all the fluff on the DVR but ended up actually watching most of it.

KISS, Queen, Queen Latifa, Lionel Richie, Cindi Lauper, Rod Stewart, Steve (freakin) Martin, Black Eyed Peas and Fergie. David Cook rocked that tribute to his brother too.
