I mean, hey... He *sure* seems to have done a lot better than the GOP, even accepting the same basic corporate premises. Hardly the picture of sustainability, either economically or otherwise, ...certainly a lot better than being *completely* sold out to a select few moneyed interests... but still not exactly someone to shout "LIBERAL" at if you like it all being about Wall Street profits this quarter and figure you'll be rewarded.
'Work hard and play by the rules' actually was livable. Sure a lot better than 'What's good for Enron and Exxon must be good for you. We'll call it 'compassionate' if we don't admit we're screwing the poor and the workers while reaping record profits.'

Clinton was "fiscally conservative" because after 96 he had no choice. Enron was his disaster also. He was the one in bed with those people. He was the one who Lewinskied the American people. As was Worldcom/MCI
