See, now that, and a few recent mentions of Miranda gear reminds me of when I was a wee lass. Now, I was slinging this Miranda I had, and a 135, which, lacking a cap for, I'd fastened a lens pouch over much like a primitive neoprene 'hood hat.'

It so happens that there were apparently certain notions of one sort going around about me of one sort or another, and at one point I found myself confronted by three rather large upperclassmen of one school or another, challenging me with the accusation, 'What's that, your artificial p*nis?"

Some calm or other came over me, and I reached back and unmounted the lens, holding it up toward them, and said, "Why, would you be needing one?"

There are some newbie gems all over the net. A recent one that got a lot of response on P.net was the title.

what is the best mode for shooting wedding

QuoteQuote:
This is the first wedding I am shooting and I would like some advice on which camera mode to use. I will be using a canon 50d with a 70-200 2.8 IS and 40d with a 24-70 2.8.
If you know anything about Canon gear, these are all fine pieces and far from cheap. So I'm thinking they are rentals. Who the h*ll would own this quality of equipment and ask about a shooting mode?

Another one which was in the same forum had me laughing. I can't find it any more but the Op and responders were discussing the J***off's that come to the wedding photographer and tell him that his camera is better than theirs. Or ask why he's not shooting with a D3 etc. The OP asked how everyone would handle that pesky wedding guest.

I absolutely loved the answer and have used it a few times when someone asks why I shot Pentax instead of Canon or Nikon.

"Einstein used a number 2 pencil"

Edit I found the thread.
