Voter trust

QuoteQuote:
Voters Trust GOP More than Democrats on Eight of Ten Key Issues
QuoteQuote:
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They've also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that voters trust the GOP more on economic issues 46% to 41%, showing little change from the six-point lead the party held last month.

How much has anything that has happened since Obama has been in office affected your life directly?

Aren't you armed? Concealed carry, well-organised militia, et al? Can't you fight like that?

Because another Ruby Ridge would be a pleasant media distraction from all this Michael Jackson crap.

Firepower is one fight. This is an economic fight for our lives. Whether I have firepower and how much is for my personal knowledge only.

Aren't your vehicle registrations and license fees going up? What about the federal excise taxes on your electric bills? Haven't they gone up? Your property taxes?
Call it a fee. Call it a surcharge. Call it anything you like. It is a tax. Watch Florida will have 8% or better sales tax soon.

My sister-in-law was down this week from up north. She was amazed at how much more expensive things are down here (food, clothing, etc.) than just outside NYC

All right, just wanna let you know the options you have. I think you'd make a fantastic martyr.

Here lies graphic8s: he'd have died happier if he hadn't paid for the bullet that killed him.

The only thing federal you mentioned is the excise tax on the electric bills.
Everything else is state set and the last time I looked the repubes were running this place.

Crist is a RINO. And the fees and taxes are going up because less is coming from the feds. It all works out in the end. I am paying more. Lets not forget the phone bill, landline and cell and cable and satellite.

I think that barring a dramatic turnaround in the economy, it is likely that the GOP will recover some of their losses in 2010. However, based on the aggregate of the general ballot polls (below), I doubt it will be enough to regain the majority in the House (or - let alone - the Senate).

As for that particular poll, Rasmussen is generally quite good, but they have been showing a Republican lean for some time now that other pollsters haven't, so not sure what is going on. It's hard to imagine that Obama would keep his approval in the high-50's if most people trusted the GOP more on most issues. But who knows.

From Pollster.com, a pretty good source for multiple poll comparisons.
