I was visiting Europe.

I will say one thing, metropolis aesthetics aside, the human factor is the same no matter where you go.

Our government ceased being our servant many years ago and has become our master. I honestly have no hope or expectation that this will change in the near future, regardless of who is in or who comes to power.
Just elect me President. I'll fix their sorry a$$es. Show em how it's really done!

Sorry graphicgr8s... Personally I don't think anyone who wants the job should get it. In fact any person in their right mind would run away screaming if offered the presidency. I suspect you are smart enough to run if they actually wanted you in the job. LOL

Perhaps you are confusing the word "President" with the word "Dictator"?

I think there is still a good reason why Florida should be considered as a buffer and not a state.

I fail to understand what you are talking about. Florida was a state before Texas or California and 23 other states and was an antebellum state.

Well, right now they may have internet monitoring (joke or not), but their legit control is relatively small. I wonder how long that'll last?
"May"? I know of a Canadian ISP that had a network devices from a "certain superpower" sitting in a locked-up rack in the late '90s already.

O.K. folks, I spy 101. If any of you think that this type or this level of spying, prying and or surveillance is new to any government on this earth then you are incredibly uninformed and therefore easy to control. Please read the following books about the worlds greatest (arguably) spy master:

Book 1. "A Man Called Intrepid"

a man called intrepid - Google Search

Book 2. "Intrepid's Last Mission"

Amazon.com: Intrepid's Last Case: The Super Spy Who Helped Take Down the Nazis Tackles the KGB: William Stevenson, Gen. Richard Rohmer: Books

All the President and Congress did was bring it out of the closet and make it legal. However, if you have not read the two aforesaid books you most likely would not have known this. My point is that Governments are going to spy regardless of legality and the wishes of we the unwashed masses. Most of the time it is a necessary evil. Too bad it is humanity, regardless of race, gender, religion creed or nationality, that abuses it.
