An update:
Firefox 3.5.3 is now here and colour management seems now right!
But I learned one thing new, which made my earlier statement somewhat misleading. "Anything non zero means enabled" is true, but the digit you enter does matter! Firefox has a default setting of 2, which should give most accurate colours. I tried to set it to 1, and the result was I got kinda good colours, but clearly tilted towards the magenta.
So if you have version 3.5.2, then just leave the defaults in that browser!
I am sure there is explanations to the different settings somewhere, but to me it is enough that I have good colours...
