I'd be shickled titless if all the political threads dried up and blew away.

Problem is I now spend more of my time on the forum in the actual photography threads. I think I may be losing it. Whatever "it" is.

you can only argue politics so much before you get bored

primarily because most people really are powerless to change anything.

there are some things i dont like about my MP and whats happeneing in toronto, but its not THAT BAD, and i most definetly wont be the guy out on the streets with a flag and megaphone screaming for womens rights and what not...

the truth of the matter, i'm willing to wager that the majority if not all of the people here, really, have better things to do.

these political threads are nothign more than brain excercises

but like all excercise, you need a bit of rest

Nah, I think fatherhood is just making graphicgr8s soft. Last time I saw him, he was arguing mortgage lenders should cut delinquent homeowners a break, out of sheer compassion. What's next? Universal health insurance? Empathic Supreme Court justices? SOCIALISM?

Political discourse gets to be like a broken record. Sometimes I have to take a break and listen to the same five songs over and over on top forty radio to regain my sanity. Unless of course I can schedule a couple root canals for some real mental therapy.

A duel?! You are getting soft. Three months ago, you'd have just sucker-punched me and kicked me in the nuts when I was down...

Memo: As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.

But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change, I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

Really? This is all you've got to defend yourself against the charge of political softness?

Some unfunny, completely implausible, snarky chain e-mail lifted straight from some wingnutty web site? Come on, you can do better! Are you sleep deprived perchance? Baby got a cholic?
