There's no need for most of the wars in the first place.

Maybe recent ones like 'Nam and Iraq. However, 1775 and 1812 was the result of some thugs from Aingland.

But when we DO go to war we need to come out as victors. Not chumps like Korea and Nam.

Then the US should start a war that it can win.
Instead of starting a war that is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt at expanding it's empire.

We cannot help it. It all comes from British bloodlines.

We did not start Korea or Vietnam. The French started the latter.

Ya got me there, Britain has been trading on the 'Great' in it's name for far too long.

You still had options. One consistent thread that is still true to day, Exit Strategy is not in your lexicon

I think South Korea and Japan would disagree with you on the "exit strategy" thing and as far as the fall of Saigon, the North didn't keep their bargain regarding the cease fire.

It's always someone else's fault isn't it?

It's always the U.S.'s fault? No matter what?

'Nam was pretty complicated and as I said in another thread, it had to do with which ally from WWII we backed when the French tried to put French Indo-China back together.

However, with Korea, the communist forces invaded. The R.O.K. arm and American were over run by the invaders and the American 8th Army consisted of under equipped and inexperience troops and officers. If it hadn't been for General Johnny Walker pulling the straggling forces together and making a stand following a massive multi-front attack by the North Korean Armyon June 15, 1950 that initiated the war. 100,000 troops poured across the 38th Parallel. The Eighth Army was composed of four divisions, the 1st Cavalry, 7th, 24th, and 25th Infantry Divisions. The combat readiness of the Eighth Army had declined due to congressionally imposed postwar budget and personnel cuts. The troops were largely undertrained, lacked sufficient equipment, and had grown soft with the relaxed pace of their occupation duty.

So yes, I blame the communists on Korea and the U.S. Congress for the situation the 8th Army was in.

It takes at least 2 to tango.

We're always on opposite sides of the fence, problem with you is the barbed wire on top is angled in your direction.
