100 bucks is definetly the ceiling i think, and no case for lens, no strap for the camera, no lens cap.

although this is the one with the dof preview lever..

Gooshin, I thought you were taking the piss outta me, 'cause I said in another thread how the best Leica is the ME Super.

I think this guy's doing the same. I get a feeling he, like me, is getting sick of leicaphile prattling on about how the only decent cameras are mechanical, and the only decent mechanical camera is a leica...

i just think its silly to compare an ancient range finder to an ancient slr, and to trying to use the shutter sounds as a selling point!!

the spotmatic had no dedicated DOF preview lever. are you talking about the self timer cocking lever? to see DOF you had to do so from the lens, by switching it from 'A' automatic to 'M' manual.

It's a Leica screwmount version; Pentax made a batch.

And M3s tend to run a good bit more than $500 if they're in working condition.

edit: of course, none of the M cameras have 43mm framelines....
