Not sure. But I remember my father always calling up Canada way to talk to family. Not sure what the last names are, In the US I know everyone with the same last name as me.

Actually it's something I've seen more then once. I just wonder about the dumbing down of the populace.

Took me a bit to figure out what was wrong...but it's kind of like how we subconsciously miss some typos like "the the" or "fo" when reading fast.

Seems to me that the shop owner has no idea that you can only use the cent sign by itself...and that's the only way.
