There's this shop

That has a sign advertising copies

COPIES
Color Copies
0.29¢

Black and White
Copies
0.05¢

Here's the question
If I get 1 color copy and 1 black and white copy and give the guy $1.00 how much change should I get back? Forget about the tax part of the equation.

99.66 cents

or 0.9966 dollars

is that the trick?

or is there a play on words with the black and white

are you being racist?

i think the cent sign is redundant..

copy places charge too much

at school its 10 cents to print one page, wth.

No there is no play on words. There is someone with an Id ten T problem and he has this sign advertising copies. Saw it and wondered how many people would realize the error. I didn't have time to go ask about it or to find out if he was a moron or not. But if he sells the copies for that price I will go over and get them from him. Both prices are way less than my costs on my machines.

are you referring to the fact that he is advertising them as .29 cents as opposed to 29 cents? I am pretty sure most Canadians would get what he meant, Floridians on the other hand...

You would get back...

$0.9966 !

Terry

SPOILER:
0.29 cents =$ 0.0029
0.05 cents = $0.0005
Total = $0.0034
Change = $1.00 - $0.0034 = ?

that could very well be the case. their English is of a completely different form, why not math? one wonders if Oz exists in some sort of alternate dimension. this could explain the different math. and maybe many other things.

Better make sure it's the chinese yen. American dollars aren't worth the Cranes paper it's printed on.

Shoot it off? I got some C-4 I want to experiment with. Come on down.
