Most of the stuff individually wasn't that much. I am the ultimate bargain shopper. But the cumulation of it all is quite a bit. Some of the lenses, while I was patient and took my time and got outstanding deals on them, if I were to buy what was available today to replace them they'd be substantially more money.

But alas, I've learned some hard yucky lessons. One thing I am currently in the process of doing is entering the serial numbers to everything I have left, into my cell phone so if I get ripped off again, they will be immediately on hand to give to the police. Unless of course my phone gets stolen as well. But at least it's one more place.

My insurance agent always said that the home owner should always take a picture of the items they bought along with keeping the receipts. It helps as proof that you didn't just collect receipts. May I suggest that you use a erasable board & write the serial number down & then lay the equipment down & take a picture.

I mean,...this is a photography forum & we should not have any problems taking pictures of our own equipment.

Also store the photos with you're other photos. That way when you back them up, it's backed up with the rest of them.

Good luck.
