Ah, excellent. Talk Talk were a very cool band. Whilst not their best track, I always liked this one:

Whenever I saw them doing this one live on TV, the guitarist played a black Steinberger (like the attached, but with - I think - a Floyd Rose Mk I trem), which was the craziest thing at the time, as everyone was playing Teles, Strats or Gibsons...

She's a lady who has definitely aged well

To me she will always be Adrian Mole's mum, despite Julie Walters.

All the "Tears for Fears" talk got me listening to some 80s and 90s tracks I haven't heard in a while - particularly synth-heavy stuff. A little corny, but three "old" favourites here:

Toni Childs - Dreamer - YouTube

Japan Ghosts - YouTube

Thomas Dolby - Windpower (Video) - YouTube
I've listened to the entire Japan catalogue probably 3 times in the last couple of weeks. Tin Drum is a favourite

Shot a festival last weekend for the promoters. Up late Fri. getting pics from the show to them. Ran back and forth between 2 stages Sat . in the heat. Was feeling a bit worn down , then I heard these guys playing a mid afternoon set. I had never heard of them before but they slayed that "filler spot" like a headliner! They definately pumped me back up for the rest of the show. Ladies and Gents.......The Quiet Hollers!

First headless guitar I ever saw was in Johnny Winter's hands. Was a definate WTF moment.

Phil is a nice guy. or at least for the limited interactions I've had. So was Eno if you avoided the fact he was Eno (he used to drink at a pub i worked at)

That's a great song. I can't commit to just one favorite but if I had to Slow Train to Dawn could be a contender.
I had all that 80's stuff on vinyl and then re-bought it all again when CDs came out.

Rediscovered all my old vinyl about 8 years ago as it had been "in storage" at my parents, bought a half decent modern turntable and the sound is a revelation!
