Great pic, Timb64.

If it was the 2014 BBC docco, that's pretty good. Who knew Johnny Rotten was a fan? A bit shameful that it took her to become the first woman to sing her own Number One song.

Her lyrics are unbelievable An obvious one is Babooshka - the woman disguising herself to test her husband, and paradoxically bringing about their ruin. I think another is This Woman's Work (covered by US star Maxwell), with the dying wife telling her hubby that he now has to bring his A-game.

Some of my favorite New Orleans jazz masters (Mike Dillon, Johnny Vidacovich, George Porter Jr.) playing as a trio. Wish I could have been at this! The percussionist, Mike Dillon, is a favorite and friend. I've done a little photography of his performances. Amazing to watch!

He made some sales here. Couldn't stand his politics.

I've been listening to a lot of Molly Tuttle.
Also Annie Staninec. She has a lot of fun playing music
Albert Lee continues to entertain me 40 years after this.
That was Emmylou and the Hot Band including Rodney Crowell and Emory Gordy. Hank Devito, Glen D Hardin and John Ware. The quality on this clip is really bad, but it shows just how good he is laying down an over dub. He tunes one of the strings while he's playing and doesn't miss a beat.

I've just discovered Lindsay Lou from her duets with Molly Tuttle.

Check out the dobro player

I'm still in love with Jamie Lynn from the Hillbilly Gypsies.

Too much of the time I'm listening to the Devil's Symphony - that is the screech of the tinnitus

But right now it's Leontyne Price singing "Thy hand, Belinda!" from Dido & Aeneas - much more pleasant I seem to be on an opera roll these days.
