Lucky you, I loved the 80's work more I think, I wore the Bad Animals tape out in the car.

Who are all these old people?

Patti Smith, now 72, lives in my neighborhood, though I have yet to make a sighting.

Robin Trower: "Day of the Eagle," which is a greatest hits compilation but is missing "Lady Love." Does that make sense to anyone here? I may have to spend some cash if he comes anywhere near on tour as he is still an amazing guitarist at 72. I have seen him twice in a small club and am still in awe.

Seems this is one of those songs I just have to listen to, every 5 years or so.

Brings back memories. I saw these guys live at least four times. I had several Airplane albums, and my son had several Starship albums. But my general comment on music from that era is it tends to sound a little "thin" these days.

Listen to it on vinyl, as God intended.A lot of music suffers from today’s compressed formats.

I keep looking at turntables, I still have 60 or so albums on vinyl, but I haven't pulled the plug yet. My Airplane albums and others from the 60s are so scratched as to be hard to listen to. In the 70s and 80s I played them once and put them on cassette tapes, so my 70-s and 80s albums are in excellent shape.

I used one of these to clean up my old collection and second hand/charity shop purchases. It's incredible how it can make even seemingly very "worn" copies playable.
