Completely etheric guitar leads.

Tom Scholz was a genius back then, and the late Brad Delp rarely got his due as one of the truly great voices in rock.

In an amazing bit of coincidence, today Rick Beato posted his video breaking down More Than a Feeling...

What Makes This Song Great? Ep.71 BOSTON (#2) - YouTube
I finally understand why even as a guitar player, I never understood how Scholz got his sound, and I never once tried to cover a Boston tune.

I'm envious, I don't have a musical bone in my body.

Tom S was a recording guru also so I think part of the album's greatness just comes from the high standards he had when they recorded and mastered it. If I recall correctly, the Band's demo was recorded on his 16 track home rig, so he knew how to get the sound he wanted.
