Haven't got space anymore unfortunately. It comes out very occasionally if I feel the need to digitise some vinyl. Shame really.

I miss my Rega Planar 3 so much. Going digital is one of the biggest regrets of my life. We had a small house at the time and my albums 317 of them (and 164 singles) went in the loft and I was concerned about them getting damaged and so sold them.

What a mistake!
Mine is the old rega 2 I bought it but really wanted a linn sondek however I couldn't afford one back then. (or now) I have upgraded mine through lockdown and its sounding amazing it has a new cartridge and the new Rega upgrade motor after 30 years i think it deserved a little TLC.I have ditched the CD player and now have a streamer an only my turntable hooked up to my system. Crazy thing is is when cd came out I bought all my albums on CD and now I'm buying the CDs I bought in the 90s on vinyl . Dust down you're 3 and find space for it. There is something about listening to albums from start to finish without skipping tracks which makes the experience so much more satisfying.

Soul to Squeeze by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Not a RHCP fan but I like Under the Bridge and Soul to Squeeze.

It is good to see there is a lot of love still for the Rega Planar.

A mate of mine has a great setup and really has spent a fortune on it Linn Sondek, Naim amps, can't remember the speakers but the cable was horrendously expensive and it is a joy to go and spend time listening to vinyl on a great system.

It is hard to put in to words the difference there is between digital and analog... high quality analog.

Enjoy!

Here's one from CBGB compatriots of the Ramones:

Analog is such a better experience than digital, from the sound to the album art. I still use digital for convenience though.

And, Rega players are great!

Another eponymous album. Everytime I listen to Pat Metheney and other jazz I often wonder how they come up with titles for their tunes. And they manage to have titles for tunes but not for the album?

This one certainly wasn't. Probably one of the worst sounding albums I own, I don' t know how E.M.I. / Asylum managed to screw up the master on this. Every copy I have had be it cd digital or a few vinyls has sounded poor. The worst thing about it is the Talent on show Apart from Joni, You have Tommy Scott, Wilton Felder, Graeme Nash, and Stephen Stills making appearances good songs spoilt by the mastering. Still I'm listening to it now.
