the Nighthawks album "Ten Years Live" is another must-have
Vinyl got here today. Likely delayed a bit due to weather (from MI to NY). Just giving it a spin right now (literary just heard the intro).

Got some other good stuff to combine shipping from the seller in the bay.... Bob Dylan's Greatest Hit LP, Aerosmith self-tittled, Afrika Bambatta - The Lights, Jerry Lee Lewis - rock collection. Nice little LPs to throw in for background when watching a game or working on photos...

PS... about 5 minutes into the album. Great choice... I pat myself in the back for listening to your recommendation

Spent my Christmas cash yesterday and picked up a new toy to help disassemble bits of wood….

This version of Shelter from the Storm really rocks. The malleability of Dylan's songs shows what a great talent he is; but also that it's the poetry which always stands out. This is just a year after the release of Blood on the Tracks. Some artists tour for 30 years and don't change a single note in an arrangement. Who wants that?

That clip is from the Rolling Thunder tour, lots of great cuts there.
I have played bass accompanying a single guitarist or a duo of guitarists, so I prefer the stripped down simplicity of the Blood on the Tracks version

I do appreciate that Dylan would often change the songs in a live setting, I think this is the first of such that caught my attention and made me appreciate Dylan much more.

Corrosion of Conformity plays some of the hardest rock ever recorded, full of riffs and grooves. This album is all killer no filler. Hard to believe it came out twenty years ago. I listen to them to wake up, or to grind through the day.

The one song which was played on radio

In tribute to the Road Dogs and the fans

The afterparty

The band had an earlier song, which is a classic built around a glacial groove and a crunchy hook. To be honest, the vocalis has a great voice and it is distinctly his own.

Uptempo, but reminds me of Alice'n'Chains, lyrically

Sludgy and dark

I doubt this is contemporary to the album release, though some artists and labels were making films related to songs or album releases, it was hardly a common practice, especially because there was no outlet to present the work. IT is great that the technology now allows people to create videos of songs like this, even if after the fact.
