Time to promote a local artist.
Alain Clark surely has some nice music that is quite easy to listen to.

From the eastern neighbours.
I hope you like Elvis

That's Tim Renwick on second guitar solo. I have seen him playing live with a number of other great guitarists as well.
David Gilmour's About Face Tour was my first concert without my parents. I saw Pink Floyd twice touring with A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and Roger Waters last year celebrating The Wall.
One of my favorite bands.

Matt - +1 on your album of the week. I wore out my Sonic Temple cd back in '89, blasting it thru my big Advents. Great "rock guitar" album

Right now I'm tuned to APM-NPR public radio, listening to The Dude and The Herb do The Gersh. That is, Gonsalvo Dudamel, who went from the streets of Caracas to directing the L.A. Philharmonic, doing a live broadcast, an all-Gershwin gala concert with Herbie Hancock tickling the ivories. So far, the Cuban Overture, and An American In Paris, and I'm awaiting Rhapsody in Blue. I hear that The Dude's face is all over L.A. right now. Wish I was there, almost. [cough cough]

EDIT -- Hear the entire concert here: L.A. Philharmonic Goes Gershwin In Opening Night Gala : NPR

Enjoying WABE, NPR in Hotlanta, GA. We've heard Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner, and La Valse, by Ravel. All revved up for the day! Yesterday afternoon I listened to Dan Fogelberg's Tuscon, Arizona on vinyl. What a song! What a writer!

Belatedly honoring REM deciding they're finished with their version of an old favorite tune of mine:

Think this is one I need to get out, being stuck in the South while madness, callous greed, and despair stalk the land like a bunch of dull-witted gigantic stalking things:

Here's where I say, get up, girl. Once more into the breach... etc etc.

See, if Goddess didn't exist, Siouxsie would have to fill in at all kinds of odd hours, and we're both getting too old for that. It's four in the morning, and I think I'm stressed-out.

Well, I have been listening to this song and album quite a lot recently:
and then thought of this song:
and then this one:

Those songs have at least one thing in common. Can you follow the thread or would you like a few more clues?
